We are hosting 5 events for runners and walkers: a marathon, marathon relay, half-marathon, 10K, relay, and 2K (for kids). In these runs, you will find a scenic, traffic free course featuring apple blossoms, snow-capped mountains and the Columbia River. (Due to course restrictions, no wheelchairs or jogging stollers will be permitted.) Runners love the traffic-free course, the aid station support and the home town atmosphere. We look forward to having great treats from Anjou Bakery post race in 2008. 2/3/08 Race Update re: half-marathon course change: Due to City restrictions the south-end Pedestrian Bridge, the half-marathon course is different for 2008. The course will still be entirely on closed streets and the loop trail, but will be an out-and-back rather than a loop. We plan to have this course USAT certified by race day. An updated map is on the course info page. We think this course may be even more scenic, with great views of Mission Ridge. The USAT certified 10k and Marathon courses remain the same. We will be adding a MARATHON RELAY for 2008. Relay teams are broken into two age groups with three divisions per group. Each team must have three to five participants. For more information, please check the "Marathon Relay" page listed on the left. If you have kids, that's no reason not to run! Sport Gymnastics will supervise kids of all ages at their indoor facility on race day. The facility is conveniently located about 2 blocks from the start and finish. The facility has regular open gym, so the staff is experienced supervising and helping kids play on the balance beams, tramps, mats, bars and other fun stuff. This is a huge Wenatchee Valley event for kids of all ages, who can participate as a team or solo. For spouses who both run, we are adding the SPOUSE TEAM CHALLENGE- a combined time race in each event. You don't have to run with your spouse (if you don't want to!) The individual time of each spouse is added together, and lowest combined time in each race wins a special prize. Participating in a Spouse Team does not cost any extra.
